Visiting The University of Texas-Pan American


Driving In?

The UT Pan American main campus is located at 1201 W. University Drive in Edinburg, Texas, some 230 miles south of San Antonio, 145 miles southwest of Corpus Christi and 340 miles southwest of Houston. When visiting the main campus, you can get directions to your specific destination and the closest parking by stopping at the Visitors Information Booth just inside the main entry off of University Drive. The attendants there will provide you a campus map and provide directions to parking lot E.

Flying In?

Depending on the airline and flight you select, you may fly into the Valley International Airport in Harlingen or the McAllen-Miller International Airport in McAllen. The Harlingen airport is 45 miles east of Edinburg, and the McAllen airport is 15 miles from campus. Automobiles may be rented at both airports. Once on campus, you can get directions to your specific destination and the closest parking by stopping at the Visitors Information Booth just inside the main entry off of University Drive. Bronc Dining Hall
Located on the West side of the University across the University Center Building, our dining hall features a wide variety of fresh food designed to satisfy everyone's appetite, with food choices to rival your favorite restaurants. *Open Saturdays from 11:00 A.M. until 6:30 P.M.


Jazzman’s Café & Bakery
Located in the library, this is more than just a specialty coffee shop. Jazzman’s Café & Bakery offers a broad menu that you’ll find nowhere else, with the latest in sandwiches, hot-pressed paninis, fresh soups and garden salads. Plus, Jazzman’s has a full array of cool blended coffee drinks, real fruit smoothies, and calming Republic of Tea beverages, making it the perfect spot for everything from a hearty lunch to a re-energizing snack. Parking

Conference Participants may park in two lots we have reserved for the conference. You do not need a visitor permit to park in either Lot F1 and Lot A during the days of the conference (Feb. 21-Feb. 23).


Anyone using a handicap permit must either register at the parking services building (behind the campus clinic) for the duration of their visit, OR stop by on a daily basis at the information booth to validate your handicap permit.


UTPA affiliated faculty, staff and students are expected to park in designated parking areas using their school issued permit.
